The honest version
PoolPerf® was designed to be installable by a reasonably handy person - panels arrive fully assembled, they weigh between 5 and 13kg, and no specialised tools are needed. Plenty of owners install their own and are rightly pleased with themselves afterwards.
Equally, a pool barrier is the one part of your backyard the law has an opinion about, and the legal responsibility for compliance sits with you as the pool owner regardless of who builds it. A licensed installer does this every week, knows what your council will look for, and hands you a finished job.
Neither choice is the “proper” one. It genuinely depends on your site, your confidence and how you’d rather spend the weekend.
