In principle it is simple: punch a fine pattern into marine-grade aluminium, frame it, and you have a barrier you can see and breathe through without any glass. The difference between products is entirely in how carefully that is done - and PoolPerf® was the first to do it in Australia.
How a PoolPerf® panel is built
Three stages, in this order. The first one is the part nobody else does.
The frame is tabbed & slotted
The frame members tab and slot into one another. That joint is what stops the frame twisting and guarantees it stays square - and it is unique to PoolPerf®. No other perforated fencing on the market is built this way.
The infill is fitted after
The perforated panel is installed independently, once the frame is already assembled and square - not sandwiched in during assembly and hoped for the best.
Riveted right around
The infill is riveted around the entire perimeter of the frame with pre-treated, powder-coated rivets, so the fixings match the finish and add strength rather than becoming the weak point.
The result is a panel that behaves as one piece - and spans 3 metres between posts where most competitors stop at 2.
Pure Perf® - the signature
Our flagship perforation: a clean, uniform pattern with up to 63% open area. From a few metres back it all but disappears, leaving you the pool, the garden and the view beyond it. Up close it reads as a fine, considered texture rather than a fence.
That open area is doing real work. It lets sea breezes and hot afternoon air move through instead of banking up against a solid panel, which matters more than people expect on a still summer evening - and matters a great deal in a cyclone-prone postcode.

2.5mm 5052 - the alloy boats are built from. Corrosion resistant by design.

Dulux and Interpon powder coats, applied in our own accredited facility.

All edges linished smooth - no burrs, no cheese-grater finish.
Two fixing systems
Whichever path you take, your fence is put together one of two ways.
Channel Fit gives the cleanest line - channels fix to the posts and the panel slides in, so there are no visible brackets and no gap at the posts.
Bracket Fit is the adaptable one - shroud brackets clamp onto the frame, which means panels can be trimmed on site to suit awkward spacing or existing posts.

Compliance, briefly
PoolPerf® panels are manufactured to AS1926.1 and independently tested in a NATA-accredited laboratory (test report AZT0434.19). Every panel forms part of the Perf Safe® certified system, and comes with a 10-year warranty.
A compliant panel isn’t automatically a compliant barrier though - heights, ground clearance, gate hardware and the non-climbable zone all matter. There’s a full explanation on the professional installation site.
More than pool fences
The same panel system works as perforated balustrading for drops over a metre, privacy screening, planter surrounds and architectural features - which is how a lot of projects end up with a matching look right through the outdoor space rather than a fence that stops abruptly at the pool.
